Taylor’s Story
Many years ago, Here’s what I wrote in my journal:
FAST FOWARD TO TODAY, my life looks totally different.
I’m a successful woman running a great business.
I’m lean and strong.
I sleep like a baby.
I have endless reserves of energy.
The weight and fatigue and overwhelm are long-gone ... never to return.
I know what it's like to live and suffer in a body prison.
While excelling in my cooking career in Michelin-starred restaurants and on super yachts around the world, I managed to work myself to complete exhaustion — mentally, physically, and emotionally. The pounds crept on and wouldn’t budge. Red flags like fatigue, joint pain, and brain fog became my norm. I lived in a constant state of anxiety and couldn’t sleep.
Yet on the surface, I had everything I could have dreamed for … a loving, supportive partner, family, and group of wonderful friends. I was traveling to the most beautiful places of the world and awarded top accolades for my work. I made a great salary and had a phenomenal team. But even with all that, I was out of touch with true peace and happiness. I felt like a prisoner to my body. I was conquering every other aspect of my life, but I just couldn’t get my health to thrive.
I hit a breaking point.
I knew I had to find a sustainable way to live, so I could actually enjoy my life. I had to stop looking outward, and instead search inward. I began a study of nutrition at Cornell University. I took advanced courses and learned how to best cook and eat to nourish my body, mind, and spirit.
I spent time learning from inspirational teachers in an ashram to open my heart and up level my mindset. I became consistent with a fitness routine that strengthened me physically and mentally. I committed to make myself a priority.
I finally learned how to PRIORITIZE MY HEALTH AND WELLBEING.
I began sleeping better. My mornings were filled with energy. I felt more optimistic. My body healed, and I became leaner and stronger.
Taking small steps everyday on the path to healing has lead me find inner peace and joy … and has given me strength to hold space there even on tough days. It is my hope that by sharing my journey with you, that I may help to inspire you to live your best and most fulfilled life.
